An Expanding Scope

The Universe is expanding—and so is this blog.

I’ve been working on several pieces that will take this site in some interesting new directions. These drafts include a “behind-the-scenes” series with my thoughts on writing and self-publishing, adventures from my recent travels, ideas for self-improvement, and original research on some fascinating datasets.

As this will expand the scope of this site beyond the boundaries of repair, I wanted to alert my loyal readers to the change. I thought about starting another blog for this new material, but then I realized that the name The Art Of Troubleshooting already evokes the inquisitive spirit needed to gracefully overcome obstacles in your way. In that larger sense, these new pieces will be right on topic because there has been plenty of struggle along the way!

Of course, I will continue to write about repair too. The problems I encounter in my daily life, both machine and personal, keep on coming: these challenges continually prompt me to think about the underlying principles of fixing things.

When it comes to site navigation, I will add new topic areas to the index so that everything will be easy to find. Every day, there are many people who discover this site while seeking help for their latest malfunction, so that content will remain front and center.

Thanks for reading,
Jason
